As the sacred month of Ramadan approaches, communities around the world prepare to embrace a time of reflection, worship, and unity. This year, Ramadan 1447 will begin on Wednesday, with fasting starting on Thursday. The Tawheed Dawah Center (TDC) warmly invites everyone to join in the nightly prayers and community activities designed to deepen our spiritual connection and support those in need.

Ramadan Start and Prayer Schedule
The crescent moon has not yet been sighted, confirming that Ramadan 1447 will officially begin on Wednesday. The first Tarawih prayer will be held that same evening, with fasting commencing on Thursday.
The daily prayer schedule at TDC during Ramadan is as follows:
Isha Salah: 8:00 PM
Tarawih Prayers: Immediately following Isha
These nightly prayers offer a chance to come together in worship and reflection. The Tarawih prayers, performed in congregation, are a special feature of Ramadan, allowing the community to listen to and reflect on the recitation of the Holy Qur’an.
Qur’an Completion During Ramadan
This Ramadan, TDC is blessed to host two complete recitations of the Holy Qur’an:
First Completion: Led by Hafiz Shami and Hafiz Khalid during the first and second Ashra (first 20 days)
Second Completion: Led by Hafiz Faiz during the last Ashra (final 10 days)
These completions provide a unique spiritual opportunity to engage deeply with the Qur’an’s message throughout the month. Attending these sessions can enhance your Ramadan experience by fostering a stronger connection with the scripture.
Zakat-ul-Fitr and Zakat-ul-Maal Contributions
Ramadan is also a time to fulfill important charitable obligations. TDC collects Zakat-ul-Fitr and Zakat-ul-Maal to support verified needy families in Pakistan. Here are the details:
Zakat-ul-Fitr: One sa’ (a traditional measure) of dried dates or barley, approximately $15 per person
Zakat-ul-Maal: 2.5% of your total wealth
Your contributions help provide essential support to families in need, ensuring they can also observe Ramadan with dignity and peace.
How to Donate
You can make your Zakat contributions conveniently through:
Zelle: Send to 949-418-3857
Checks: Mail to 7151 Lincoln Ave. Unit D, Buena Park, CA 90620
Every donation, big or small, makes a difference in the lives of those less fortunate.
Remembering Loved Ones and Making Dua
Ramadan is a time for spiritual renewal and community support. It is important to remember those who are no longer with us and to make special dua for the Muslim Ummah. This sacred month invites us to pray for peace, health, and prosperity for all.
The community at TDC encourages everyone to keep these intentions in their hearts during prayers and gatherings.
